A whole week of five Live??
Not the best shift in the world for us! Nothing to blog and we don't get to see him. Would have been better for me if this weeks and last weeks shifts had been round the other way, but hey.

25th August
I understand that Matt was on Five Live today! How lovely for him on bank holiday Monday!
The crisis from earlier in the week is slowly passing, its only financial and not mine personally (been there and still in that!) but it still came as rather a shock and still things to sort. I will do my best to keep up with the blogging from now on though.

22nd August
Poor Matt had Chris and Sonia ganging up on him on the first forecast today!! And there he was outside with his umbrella...again!
Sonia: The weather, very very important cos we don't get another bank holiday until Christmas now. And its been horrible (turns around to Matt) horrible over the last ?????? (could catch that). Yeah Matt its all your fault. And from Chris in the background:'Awful'.
Matt: Yeah, yeah, thank you Sonia. No pressure there at all. It is of course the bank holiday weekend for some of us'.
Matt did say he had a little bit of good news! As far as I can see that was just that 'mostly' it wasn't going to rain! Because down here this bank holiday weekend has been a dead loss. I got a few minutes sun yesterday, but during the afternoon it clouded over badly and was very very grey and depressing. Today (Monday) was little better, drizzle but a little less grey cloud.
Prior to the 6.45 forecast they spoke to a reporter in Belfast about all the flooding they had there and a reporter at a festival in Leeds in his wellies. You could really hear the rain on Matts umbrella very nicely during this forecast.
Lots of discussion about the weather and awful August today, lots of discussion. Unsurprisingly really!

Dark in the BP garden first thing these mornings! This is Matt talking his way out of this rain

20th, 21st August
Deepest apologies for not keeping up to date this week. My mum's op was fine and she's fine but another crisis appeared instead, so unfortunately the blogging has not got done.
I can't blog at the moment as I'm on my lunchbreak at work, but will try to get down to it at the weekend.
But I do have one thing to say about todays Breakfast. That naughty Chris Hollins calling Matt the most unpopular man at the BBC!!! I beg to differ! We know Matt is the weathergod but as much as we like to believe that he can control the weather, I think we know deep down that perhaps he maybe can't! But we still love him anyway! So a slap for Chris! I think Mr H just likes to live dangerously sometimes!
I'm going to amalgamate two days into one here as my lack of concentration with setting the dvd each day meant I only got a few forecasts recorded anyway, not to mention the flipping Olympic's messing everything up entirely just when I didn't need it. But anyway. On Wednesday they were talking about tea that's being grown in Cornwall. Charlie asked Matt if he had a cup of tea out in the Blue Peter. Poor Matt, no tea! He said: 'No we don't, I'm left out here on my own, its completely dry, at least it's not raining at the moment'. awwww....
Matt had his yellow shirt to try and conteract all the rain I think. Matt said summer has been conspicuous by it's absence. How very very true!!
On Thursday Matt was out in the BP garden with a 'summer' jumper!!! and umbella!!! Obviously another perfect summers day in London!! And as Matt said 'It wouldn't be an August day without a little bit of rain in the forecast'. More severe weather warnings for the north. Almost a daily occurance these days! By 7.50 the brolly had disappeared. Matt: 'yes, very good news, I've managed to dispose of the brolly in the past half an hour, but for some of you, you'll have to keep it very much close to hand today, particularly in northern parts of Scotland' . Another severe weather warning of course, goes without saying really!
Poor Matt had to do the entire forecast at 8.20 without any graphics!! And didn't he do well, a true pro.

Charlie: 'Matt, thank you very much. Who needs a map?? Y ou can go and have a nice sit down. Matt (pointing to head): It's all up here' . Charlie: 'You should have a nice sit down on the bench'. Matt: 'I should really shouldn't I'. Charlie: 'Go on sit yourself down' Matt: ' Do it through dance'. Suzanna: 'You've done your bit for Breakfast this morning Matt, thanks very much'.
Brilliant!
