    30th April

Last night I was prepared!! It seems the start of the nightshift has changed from 9.30 to 10.30! That's late!!! Another day for the wet weather gear today when heading to the outdoors Matt was warning us, never a truer word has been spoken!! Matts earlier forecasts all showing us the arc of blue bringing us all that rain last night in the middle part of the country especially poor old Wales!! And this morning a very wet start for south and west Scotland, the north of England and me!!! Ok, not just me, the whold of London and the south east! Hehe, I just rewound the forecast back slowly and saw the rain going upwards!!! Hehe!!
First time last night I have seen Matt with the new night-time graphics, but no stars out for him

    2008-04-30

Maybe next time there'll be stars and no rain!!

    29th April

A completely unexpected night shift from Matt last night and it was a very early night for me because I was shattered so no dvd set!! The TBT is out of action AGAIN! So all I managed to get to see was Matt on my local forecast on Breakfast this morning, and boy was he not kidding about that rain!!!! Good job I took Matts advice and took my wet weather gear with me today, it was invaluable!
I was travelling between offices around 11 in full wet weather gear and my back pack on my front so it was under my umbrella and didn't get wet with all my paperwork inside!! VERY wet to the outdoors today. There was a dry spell when I went to get my lunch and then full wet weather gear required for the walk back to the car after work, and there was that stiff wind too as expertly predicted by Mr Taylor.

I can only assume that the weather is just getting it all out of its system so it can bring us a fab bank holiday weekend!!!!!!   Current predictions are more showers tomorrow and Thursday, maybe less on Friday and drier and warmer on Saturday. Good! Things to do, places to go, people to see! But I guess having to dive into a pub because of a heavy shower or thunderstorm would be as good an excuse as any!!!!

So, I'm setting my DVD tonight!!!!! So what's the betting its Rob McElwee or someone!!!!!

    25th April

Well, here we are at the very end of a great Matt on Breakfast week. Only today we had the charismatic (yes I am joking!!) Charlie, and Suzanna. I think actually that Bill and Sian are my favourite presenting duo.

Before the 6.43 forecast Charlie actually made a comment, just about!!!! Charlie: 'Its about time for a change in the weather, Matt, is it happening?' Matt: 'Ooooo, it's a tough one that, I think for some it's going to be quite warm and sunny for a time this weekend but  for others there's going to be more rain around, in fact, all of us will see rain at some point.'

For the start of the 7.17 forecast, we started in the cherry blossom tree!  Charlie: 'So how's the weather this weekend, Matt can tell us' Matt: 'oh a little bit of everything Charlie, we've lined up that shot for you Suzanna, some of those lovely cherry blossoms you can see behind us'

By 8.50 the jacket was off! Less and less clothes as the week goes on!! Good job it's Friday!! Or not, as the case may be! And Matt informs us at the end of Breakfast, next week Carol is back . No fair, why can't they take it in turns and do alternate weeks????

     2008-04-25 1

Plus there's the added advantage when Matt does Breakfast on weekdays rather than weekends, I don't feel I should be awake at stupid o clock on a Saturday and Sunday! It's been a very good week and we always get maximum banter when Bill is there too.

    24th April

The walk from the car to work this morning involved keeping a very close eye on the sky! Lucky for me I made it, a collegue was not so prepared, he looked like he'd been swimming to work!! Whoops!

No rain over London this morning though, Matt was outside without a jacket this morning, just pink shirt and jumper! (Not just a shirt and jumper of course, but you know what I mean!)

After the 6.22 forecast Bill says to Sian: 'See he's got the blossom to match his shirt?' Sian: 'It's beautiful isnt it' (I think she was talking about the blossom but she could have meant Matt!   Bill: 'Amazing, well done Matt'. Sian: 'He's well co-ordinated' Matt: 'It's lovely' (again, the blossom I think!)

By way of introduction to the 6.43 forecast, it wa Sian this time: 'Time now for the weather with the beautifully co-ordinated Matt, who matches his shirt to go with the flowers behind' Matt: 'Anybody would think it was well planned this morning wouldn't they. Yes, its lovely out here this morning, as it is across much of eastern Britain.'

7.17 forecast: 'Good morning, yes, blending into the surroundings once again this morning'

Lots of chating between Bill and Sian before the 7.46 forecast leaving Matt standing there waiting!! Sian 'Hello Matt, sorry to keep you.' Matt: 'Thats alright, no problem at all, a pleasure to be here. It's lovely at the moment in the garden, and certainly the cherry blossom and the spring flowers have been enjoying the warm sunshine over the past few days'

And finally, for the first time this week we got that little weather re-cap at the end of Breakfast and then end of which Matt said: 'From me and from the cherry blossom, both of us looking pretty in pink, have a very good day, see you tomorrow' LMAO, brilliant!! And it has been a good day too! Thankfully, after yesterday!

    23rd April

A big day for Southampton on Breakfast today it seemed. Matt mentioned us a few times as we had top temperature here yesterday of 21 degrees, this is very good of course, however not good when you're sat in an office not able to make the most of it! Never happy am I! Well, it has been one of 'those' days!! Also Alison was part of the Green Gym in Eastleigh, nr Southampton.

For the start of the 6.20, Matt: 'Good morning to you, a very happy St George's day to you as well. Lovely yesterday over much of the country, saw the temperature peak at 21 celcuis in Southampton, today a slightly different story, getting off to a fairly wet note, as you saw there with Alison in one or two spots'  Very true! Plenty of light rain on my way to work this morning, pretty miserable, thats me *and* the weather!! Who'd have even thought it would be possible to see Matt on Breakfast and then be miserable!!

Before the 6.47 there's was some talk about 'the fog on the tyne is all mine, all mine' and this was their amazing link into the weather!!!! Matt: 'Good morning, I'm astounded at these links this morning, fantastic. There is actually some fog around across parts of eastern England'.

And prior to the 8.18 forecast there was mention of Eartha Kitt being in the studio later on and a very worried looking Bill Turnbull! Matt (laughing): 'There's a look of fear on someone's face, good morning to you, a happy St George's day as well.'

Also by 8.50 the umbrella was needed in the BP garden, the rain band had reached London!

Wet weather gear was out today too, just in case someone stole the brolly perhaps!

    22nd April

Good news from Matt from the Blue Peter garden again today. Matt's almost first words this morning: 'Good morning Bill and Sian, good morning to you as well. Well the blossom is out here, the birds are singing, and when the sunshine comes out today  I think for many of you will be pleasantly surprised, at long last it will actually start to feel that little bit like spring.'
    Yay, Yay, and Yay again!!!

6.47 forecast, just before they were talking about the neighbours being more friendly in the north than the south ( true, of course, on the whole) Matt: 'I can certainly vouch for the northerners anyway' Who'd have guessed!!

By the 7.45 forecast Matt had taken his jacket off!!!! Must have been warmer in the BP garden than it was here!! It was 9 degrees when I left home and definitely not jacket taking off weather!! But then I guess I wasn't on TV presenting a weather forecast, (luckily for the people of the UK!!!!) But it was another great start to the day with lovely weatherman and lovely blossom behind him and lovely weather, what more could we ask for!!

Perhaps just to keep the nice weather into the weekend!!! Maybe time to start praying?????

    21st April

Yay!! It's a Matt on Breakfast week! Yippee! And he's soo lucky its not raining in London. It's nasty here! So its a good thing we have Matt to cheer up a very wet and grey Monday, and he's doing that very well too, looking lovely and all happy because he's got good weather news to tell us! And it wasn't pouring with rain on him like the last Monday he was in the BP garden.

And whats with the orange clock this morning!? I thought I had the wrong channel!!!

Before the 6.20 forecast they were discussing the disappearance of the honey bees and Sian said it could be the end of civilisation and Bill said: 'Could be, but not because Matts doing the weather'.

And at 6.47 after a headline about dangerous driving Bill asked Matt: 'Whats the weather like on the roads this morning? Let's find out from Matt'. And Matt: 'Thank you very much Bill, a very good morning to you, Perhaps a littel bit slippery on the roads in parts of northern Scotland at the moment, but here a little bit of sunshine this morning. For the rest of though its a frost free start and rather a grey one.

A good week for bees apparently as the temperatures are going to increase......at last!!!! And *not* before time!!!

After the 7.49 forecast and Matt mentioning temperatures up to 17 on Tuesday Sian said 'Thank you Matt' 'We like having him on' Don't we just!!

8.22 forecast Bill says: 'The weather .....could be.....getting warmer, No! Really?' Matt: 'Yes, yes, at long last some good news here on a Monday morning. Temperatures slowing starting to creep up a little bit, certainly much milder than it was last week abd it will feel quite warm once you see some sunshine'

8.52 Bill says: 'Lets gett the weather from Matt, he doesnt need to be terribly brave today to be honest' Matt (laughs): 'No, not really, but I'd do naything for a glimpse of summer at the moment, it's till a bit cold out here in that easterly wind, the good news is though, that some of us could just get that glimpse, at times through the rest of this week'.

Well, I have to say, I had my own glimpse of summer yesterday!! I actually got a bit of a tan in the back garden after sitting out there all afternoon, protected from the nasty wind!! Very nice!! More please!! And it sounds like Matts going to bring to us!!

    12th April

Matt was on again today, mainly on Five Live I believe. There was a story about an eighteen stone woman who posed nude for a portrait which is now worth milions and she had to lie naked on a sofa for weeks. Matt commented that it would have to be a hell of a lot warmer than it is now for him to strip off!    Good job I don't have to concentrate on work today, thats all I can say! What  was the weather forecast again?!?!?

With lines now blurring a little between radio and television we can now see the radio show on webcam, and I think that Matt is sat to the left of the picture, wearing a top with a stripe down the sleeve..

    Matt on Five Live

Another Five Live morning tomorrow I'd imagine. Or not!!!!

    11th April

Matt was back on this morning on Radio 4, News 24 and BBCi  Looking 'pretty in pink'! Was that another new tie??

I went out to get some lunch and nearly got caught by one of those naughty showers!  Cheek! Sun is back now though, at least with showers its not all grey.

Before the 8.55 forecast  they were reviewing the days paper and the was a story  about a Titanic Tom cat that weighed 35lbs!! Matts comment was" That cat's almost bigger than me" Lol, awww bless.

Matt and the heavy shower!! (which I narrowly avoided!!)

     2008-04-11

Will Matt be back tomorrow?? Keep your eyes peeled!!

Yay, Matt is back on the old nightshift this week. Unfortunately not on the screen but he was having a chat with JL last night/this morning. Starting off with a cockney accent!!! And then onto what he'd been up at the weekend apparently he's going to a family wedding wearing just a well placed bow!!!!  I'll not sleep tonight now!
