20th October

I pulled back the curtains this morning, and.........yuk!!!! When I went out the front door it looked like the end of the world! Lots of big black menacing clouds and a very strange light, kind of grey/yellow/reddish, it was attempting to get light but was very very weird.
After a week without him, Matt was back on Radio 4 this morning and on the News channel and the red button. I sneakily saw him at 9.30 and saw a forecast properly at lunchtime on BBCi.

Interestingly Matt's first forecast on TV was following a report about new UFO files that have been made public.
Rachel: 'Now, someone else who has been looking up to the sky, at the weather, Matt Taylor.' Matt: 'Thank you very much Rachel, good morning, I'm sure some of those sightings could be attributed to weather balloons, and any weather balloons up there today will be pushing across the sky at some fair rate of knots.'
Well, I can't see today being good for any kind of skyward activity, UFO or otherwise! It's just lucky we had Matt to cheer up a very very dull Monday morning!

Matt had a patch of heavy rain heading my way around 3-4 o'clock this afternoon and that was dead on! So, nice and wet when I left work at 4.30!! Rivers running down the streets and big new ponds created in the dips! And slightly wet trousers for me...not quite so bad when heading home though.
